Working pattern

Part time: The role is for 3 days a week at the junior school site. You will be working alongside the Headteacher and two Deputy Heads, one of whom is the lead SENDCo. NASENDCo qualification is not required but some experience of leading SEND is desirable.

What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Previous experience, not necessarily at AHT level, of curriculum leadership.
  • Personal qualities that will inspire and motivate others.
  • Ability to work with the established leadership team, building on systems that are in place and bringing fresh ideas for even further improvement.
  • Commitment to helping us provide the best possible outcomes for all pupils, with a focus on those with additional needs.
  • Good communication skills to work with parents of our 10 pupils with an EHCP and other agencies who support them.
  • Efficient time management and organisational skills.
