What skills and experience we're looking for

The Board of Trustees are looking to appoint an excellent leader to join our existing leadership team in our successful and well-reputed school. The successful candidate will be experienced in the field of special education, possess a sound understanding of SEND legislation and have the ability to engage and motivate others towards a clear vision. The successful applicant will work under the direction of the Head and Deputy Heads to deliver upon the strategic direction of the academy and Trust. They will show high levels of initiative, independent leadership and responsibility for a significant aspect of whole academy teaching, leaning and assessment outcomes. In addition, the Assistant Head of Academy will make a significant contribution to strategic developments across our Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to contribute to a dynamic, positive, and ambitious Trust leadership team
