What skills and experience we're looking for

We are looking to appoint an outstanding, dynamic Assistant Head of School at Glendinning Academy, a Special Academy for pupils aged from 7 to 16 years. Our ideal candidate will have excellent teamwork and communication skills, boundless patience and resilience and the ability and enthusiasm to make a difference with pupils who have a range of special educational needs. We are looking for someone who embodies the Trust’s values; someone who has diverse experience, as well as a passion for working with young people with additional needs.

The successful candidate will work supportively with the Principal and Senior Leadership Team in; ensuring high quality teaching and learning and leading staff. This is an exciting opportunity for an individual to lead strategically on key areas in our drive for continuous improvement and we are looking for applicants who have a proven record of accomplishment of success, have a positive approach and are determined to make a difference to the lives of our young people.

These partnerships play a vital role in ensuring pupils enjoy, succeed and achieve.
