Assistant Head of Year job summary

Pix Brook Academy is seeking a dedicated and ambitious Assistant Head of Year to join our Key Stage 3 pastoral team. In this pivotal role, you will support the Head of Year and Senior Leadership in driving the strategic and operational management of our pastoral system. You will play a vital part in securing high standards of behavior, attendance, and academic achievement, with a particular focus on supporting vulnerable learners and those receiving Pupil Premium funding.

The successful candidate will be a collaborative leader, capable of mentoring tutor teams, liaising with external agencies, and fostering a school culture rooted in independent learning and inclusivity. We are looking for an approachable professional with excellent communication skills and a proven track record in student support.
