Assistant Head Teacher _ SENCo, Safeguarding and Inclusion job summary
The Odyssey Educational Trust is seeking to appoint a suitably experienced, highly self-motivated and positive minded Assistant Head Teacher, with responsibility for SEND, Safeguarding and Inclusion to join our team.
The SEND and Inclusion Assistant Head Teacher, in collaboration with the Senior Leadership Team, will play a key role in determining the strategic development of the SEND policy and provision in the school, to raise achievement of children with SEND taking day to day responsibility for the operation of the SEND/ LAC/Inclusion policies. The post holder will assist the Senior Leadership Team in delivering the vision and direction of the Trust, setting high expectations and modelling professional conduct. You will undertake the lead role across the Trust in maintaining high standards of pupil’s behaviour and discipline within the framework of the school policy and supporting other staff as necessary. The post holder will work with the Executive Head and other staff to develop effective ways of bridging barriers to learning and will form part of the DSL team.
