What skills and experience we're looking for
This is a full-time role with part-time teaching responsibility.
Little Mead Primary Academy has a new Co-Headship, as well as a new SENDCo. We have two new exciting roles available for applicants looking to take the next step in their careers and make a real difference in the lives of the local community. Please make it clear in your application which of the roles you are applying for.
1. Assistant Head Teacher – Curriculum Lead
The successful applicant will lead on implementation of the Trust curriculum, safeguarding, pastoral and daily organisation of the school
2. Assistant Head Teacher – Teaching and Learning Lead
The successful applicant will lead on the successful implementation of effective and impactful teaching and learning strategies across the school which leads to outstanding pupil outcomes, across the curriculum in conjunction with other senior leaders
Curriculum Lead - Role Purpose
To work strategically under the direction of the Head Teacher to effectively lead, develop and manage:
- the whole school (Nursery - Year 6) and Trust strategy for curriculum implementation
- the successful implementation of effective and impactful teaching and learning strategies which leads to outstanding pupil outcomes across the curriculum, in conjunction with other senior leaders
- day to day management of safeguarding systems and processes in conjunction with DSL, Deputy DSL
- given strands of the whole school Safeguarding strategy
- the whole school strategy for pupil attendance
- the whole school pastoral offer, including pastoral care of pupils, promoting self-discipline and positive behaviours for learning in-line with school policy
- the programme of continuing professional development of training and support for staff
- the day to day organisation of the school through rotas and timetabling, management of additional adults including supply teachers and activities such as enrichment, educational visits and extra-curricular activities
