Assistant Head Teacher job summary
You will work closely with staff, families, and external partners to develop and implement strategies that remove barriers to learning, champion inclusivity, and provide effective alternative pathways for students who require bespoke educational support. This is an exciting opportunity for a committed and forward-thinking individual who is passionate about improving outcomes for disadvantaged students and leading innovative approaches to alternative provision.
We are looking for someone with a strong track record of working with vulnerable students, the ability to inspire and lead change, and a deep commitment to fostering an environment where every student has the chance to reach their full potential. The role is permanent and full time.

Maiden Erlegh School is a highly successful comprehensive school for students from 11-18 years old, situated in Lower Earley, near Reading. Our students are a delight to work with and relationships between students and staff are extremely positive and constructive. Students are keen to learn, curious, respectful, polite and fun.
