Assistant Head Teacher SENDCO (across the Federation) job summary
We are looking for an enthusiastic, inspiring and experienced SENDCO with (QTS and SENDOCO qualification) who is passionate about Early Years inclusive teaching and learning and who wants to help us continue to achieve excellent learning outcomes for all children.
Our nursery schools are OUTSTANDING, with a skilled and experienced team of teachers and early years practitioners at the Bedford Nursery Schools Federation , with supportive leadership team and governors. We offer a wide range of CPD opportunities.
The post starts on 1st January 2027 or earlier, dependent on candidate availability.
We are looking for:
- Manage and lead the strategic development of SEND policy and provision across the Bedford Nursery Schools Federation
- The ability to provide high quality teaching pedagogy and practice to secure consistently good or outstanding teaching and learning for all children
- Someone who is committed to on-going professional development
- The ability to contribute to the wider life at the school
- - The ability to maintain an inclusive, intentional and inspiring learning environment
- Someone who will strive to ensure each child reaches their full potential
- Good interpersonal skills and the ability to work well as part of our team.
Applicants for this public facing post will need to demonstrate the ability to converse and provide effective help or advice in fluently spoken English.
