We are seeking an experienced SENDCO to join Grestone Academy as an Assistant Headteacher to lead on our SEND provision. This is an exciting time to join our academy as we explore an expansion of the SEND provision through setting up a new Resource Base at the academy for September 2026. The successful candidate will support this process, including oversight of the appointment of staff to manage this Resource Base as it becomes established. This is a rewarding opportunity for an experienced and passionate individual to shape inclusive practice, champion inclusion, transform outcomes for children with special educational needs and disabilities, and ensure that all children are supported to thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.

Hamstead Hall Academy Trust has a strong reputation for SEND provision across the city with an established Resource Base at the secondary school. The Trust is exploring the opportunity to complement this provision and open a Resource Base for autism at Grestone Academy. The successful candidate will be offered support to collaborate with an experienced SEND team from the Trust to set up the Resource Base at Grestone and add to the SEND provision at Grestone.
