Assistant Head Teacher with SENCO Responsibility job summary

We are seeking to appoint an experienced, dedicated, and enthusiastic Assistant Head Teacher with SENCO responsibility to join our strong, professional, and friendly team in January 2025.

You might be an experienced KS1 or KS2 teacher with experience of supporting or leading SEN in your school or you might be an experienced SENCO looking for a new challenge. The quality of your experience, and what you have learnt from it, is what's important.

You will work closely as part of the senior leadership team to support colleagues across the school in developing and implementing effective provision for vulnerable pupils in line with the SEN Code of Practice and will be skillful in working with pupils with a range of different abilities and needs - SEND, LAC – alongside excellent communication skills enabling liaison with a variety of external agencies.

We have a strong partnership with other local schools through our membership of the South East Essex Academy Trust (SEEAT). We are wholly committed to training and developing staff, as well as other excellent opportunities for professional development.
