Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls is an 8FE 11-16 comprehensive which is part of PolyMAT Academy Trust. PolyMAT is a small and ambitious MAT with a unique family feel. Our vision is ‘Success for Everyone’ and the successful candidate will help deliver this at all levels. We currently have three schools in our Trust: Woolwich Polytechnic School for Boys, a long-successful boys’ school, Woolwich Polytechnic School for Girls that opened in 2019, and Bannockburn Primary School, a large successful primary that joined the Trust on 1st November 2023. Our Boys’ School has a flourishing Sixth Form provision which is co-educational and will cater for our girls from September 2024 after they achieve their first set of GCSE results. Our Trust and our schools’ pride themselves on a culture of high standards delivered through our Values of Care and Unity. We provide a rewarding environment where students and staff feel valued and supported and everyone feels part of the larger family as our schools and departments work very closely together.
As this is our first year of GCSEs, we are expanding our senior leadership team and we are seeking an assistant head teacher that will help move towards an established school and continue to inspire our girls to be the best versions of themselves.
The Assistant Head Teacher will work with the leadership team in providing effective organisation and management and to lead, maintain and seek ways of improving organisational structures and functions.
We are particularly looking for candidates that can support in developing our systems and structures and play a vital part in leading on those.
