Rickmansworth School is seeking a skilled and committed Assistant Headteacher to join our Senior Leadership Team. This is an excellent opportunity to shape the future of a successful and inclusive secondary school. You will work closely with the Headteacher and wider Leadership Team, leading key areas, line managing staff and driving improvements in teaching, learning and student outcomes.
Roles are rotated amongst the Leadership Team periodically but it is likely that, initially, this Assistant Headteacher position will take the lead on whole school outcomes, achievement, examinations, intervention, assessment and reporting.
The role offers the chance to make a real impact on school life while supporting the professional development of our talented team. We are looking for a reflective, dedicated leader who thrives on challenge, models high standards and contributes positively to a collaborative school community.
Where there is a demonstrable skills shortage, the successful candidate may be eligible to apply for a priority admission place for their child under the school’s admissions criteria.
In return, we will offer you
Outstanding CPD opportunities to support your professional growth
A school with exemplary student behaviour, where learning is valued
A collaborative working environment where teamwork is at the heart of everything we do
Highly skilled and supportive staff, working together to make a difference
A comprehensive wellbeing programme to ensure you feel valued and supported
