We are looking for a Assistant Headteacher - Behaviour and Personal Development to work with the leadership team in establishing and embedding policies, systems and practices that secure the very best educational outcomes and experiences for all students. To lead on the strategic development and implementation of pastoral systems that enhance behaviour for learning and ensure a culture of respect, responsibility and aspiration. To provide outstanding pastoral care within a positive and secure environment where every student can thrive academically, socially and emotionally. To champion students’ personal development by promoting their character, confidence, wellbeing and preparation for life in modern Britain.
Key responsibilities:
- This Assistant Head role will teach 25/50 period teaching timetable.
- Make use of effective and proportional processes of evaluation to identify and analyse complex or persistent problems and barriers which limit school effectiveness and identify priority areas for improvement.
- Lead on and develop the Personal Development Curriculum across the school including focus on British values, MHS Values and SMSC.
- To lead on implementation of a robust programme of Careers advice and education from Year 7 to 13 Oversee Careers and preparation for adulthood across the school, working closely with the Assistant Head for Curriculum and Operational Lead for Careers.
- Oversee the development of effective mental health and wellbeing provision in line with the government guidance for senior mental health leads
Pay range: L10-L14 - £56,823.18 - £64,691.00 - FTE £62,654.73 - £71,330.00
Qualifications and Skills:
- Degree in related subject specialism
- QTS
- Ability to work strategically and to seek and implement creative solutions
- Excellent leadership skills
- Ability to inspire and challenge colleagues, peers and teams
- Ability to create a stimulating and safe learning environment
