Assistant Headteacher - Behaviour & Relationships job summary

We are currently looking for an excellent Assistant Headteacher to join our team. Duties to include:-

Providing strategic leadership and operational oversight to ensure high standards of pupil behaviour and positive relationships across the school;

Driving the school’s OPAL provision to support behaviour at unstructured times;

Working collaboratively with the SENDCo and whole staff to achieve the TIAAS Award;

Working collaboratively with the Pastoral Manager to improve attendance;

Working with senior leaders, staff, pupils, families, and external agencies to promote a safe, inclusive, and aspirational learning environment where all children can thrive;

Teaching a class (60%) with weekly ring-fenced leadership time;

Promote the values and achievements of the school to the community;

Assist with the appointment and induction of new staff and provide monitoring and support for ECT and students as necessary;

Leading Professional Growth for a team of staff;

Assist in the preparation, implementation and monitoring of the School Development Plan.

This role is key insupporting the school to improve even further, providing our children with the best education possible, and ensuring staff have access to appropriate, and high standard professional development opportunities.
