Assistant Headteacher job summary
Chiltern Way Academy Wokingham is a specialist Academy for students aged 8-16 with Autistic Spectrum Condition (ASC). We are dedicated to building confidence, character and resilience, and delivering a personalised, engaging curriculum that prepares our learners for life beyond school.
We are seeking an inspiring Assistant Headteacher to join our leadership team.
Key Responsibilities
Work with the Headteacher, Deputy Headteacher and wider Trust leadership team to lead high-quality teaching, learning and whole-school improvement.
Contribute to a calm, safe and purposeful school culture.
Model outstanding teaching and coach colleagues to develop their practice.
Support curriculum design that motivates learners and promotes future employment pathways.
Lead staff development, communication and performance management.
Promote excellent behaviour, wellbeing and personal development.
Provide accurate reporting to parents, Trustees and external partners.
