The Great Massingham and Harpley CofE Primary School Federation (GMHfed) are seeking to appoint a cover teacher to teach 3 days a week covering PPA and two days a week (non contact) as Assistant Headteacher. The role is across both schools for both the teaching and leading part of the role.

This is an exciting opportunity for anyone looking to take their first steps into leadership or seeking to further their experience in a multisite setting. As the part time assistant headteacher, the successful candidate will work closely with the executive headteacher, to build on the successes of the two schools and develop the future of the federation. There is scope for the successful post holder to develop this role further should the contract be extended.

  • An experienced teacher with high expectations of all learners and a secure knowledge of the primary curriculum.
  • Experience of working across the primary keystages.
  • A willingness to work within the Norfolk Steps therapeutic approach to behaviour management.
  • Strong communication and people skills.
  • A willingness to work within the Christian ethos of Church of England schools.
  • An ambitious individual who is committed to continuous school improvement.
  • Drive, motivation and a good sense of humour.
