Full time: DEMAT and Ermine Street Church Academy, based in Huntingdon, has an opportunity for two ambitious Assistant Headteachers, one with a responsibility for SENCO and one with responsibility for teaching and learning.

What skills and experience we're looking for

take a key role in:

  • being an excellent role model; exemplifying a high standard of teaching and promoting high expectations for all members of the school community
  • supporting the Headteacher to lead the academy improvement process
  • maintaining excellent standards of behaviour, both in and out of the classroom, to ensure the best possible learning environment for all, following the Trust principles of Inclusion;
  • monitoring progress towards the achievement of the academy’s aims and objectives as derived from Trust aims and objectives. This will include identifying next steps and facilitating appropriate CPD related to improving the standard of teaching and learning across the whole academy;
  • delivering exemplary subject leadership in line with the needs of the academy and support other subject leaders to strengthen subject leadership across the academy;
  • communicating the academy and Trust’s vision and support strategic leadership, including with external stakeholders and relevant educational bodies.
