The candidate

We are looking for a passionate and forward-thinking educational leader who is ready to make a meaningful impact as Assistant Headteacher at Eton Park Junior Academy. This opportunity has arisen due to the promotion of the current Vice Principal to Headteacher. This pivotal role will support our newly appointed Headteacher in leading, managing and developing the school to achieve high standards of pupil achievement, progress, behavior, social development and effective use of resources.

You will be able to demonstrate leadership experience, along with the drive, vision, and resilience to lead school-wide improvement and foster a culture of excellence. As an outstanding teacher, you will be confident in mentoring and developing others, and adept at leading high-quality teaching and learning across the school. Your ability to manage change, uphold high standards of behaviour, and cultivate a positive, inclusive school environment will be essential, as will your strong understanding of safeguarding and unwavering commitment to pupil welfare.

With a collaborative leadership style and a strong commitment to professional development, you will inspire those around you while helping to shape the strategic direction of the school. Eton Park is a purpose-built academy for students between the ages of 7 and 11 that opened in October 1991. We have a very generous site, which includes playing fields, a hard surface playground, a trim trail, an ICT theatre, gardens and a nature conservation area.
