Assistant Headteacher job summary

Key Responsibilities

• Provide strategic leadership as part of the senior leadership team, supporting the academy’s vision and improvement priorities.
• Lead and promote high-quality teaching, learning and inclusive practice across the academy.
• Support, challenge and develop staff through coaching, professional development and effective line management.
• Monitor student progress, behaviour and attendance, using data to drive improvement and positive outcomes.
• Promote a culture of high expectations, safeguarding and wellbeing for all students.
• Work collaboratively with parents, governors and external agencies to support student achievement and welfare.
• Contribute to the effective day-to-day leadership and running of the academy.
• Act as a positive role model and ambassador for the academy within the wider community.
