We’re seeking a visionary and passionate Assistant Headteacher to join our dynamic leadership team and help shape the future of Gusford Primary School.
This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced leader who is committed to raising standards, driving school improvement, and securing the best possible outcomes for all pupils. You will play a pivotal role in leading teaching and learning, developing staff, and supporting the strategic direction of the school.

Salary:Leadership Range – L4-L8 - £53,602-£59,167 per annum

As the school is a member of a Trust, it is part of a wider network of supportive schools. The Ipswich Hub and ALT schools from the Lowestoft and Cambridgeshire hubs, engage in regular school-to-school improvement networks, leadership development and CPD opportunities. Key Responsibilities Include:
- Supporting the Headteacher with school improvement planning and implementation.
- Leading a phase and a National Curriculum subject (which may be a core subject).
- Driving high standards of learning and pupil achievement.
- Managing and mentoring staff and contributing to professional development.
- Supporting the cultural ethos and managing pupil behaviour across the school.

- At least 2 years of senior leadership experience.
- Strategic vision with a strong commitment to inclusion and excellence.
- The ability to inspire, develop and motivate both staff and pupils.
