Your Opportunity
We are seeking to appoint a committed and experienced Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for Inclusion to join our Senior Leadership Team.
The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring that all pupils, including those with additional needs, receive high-quality teaching and support that enables them to achieve their full potential. Working closely with the Headteacher, senior leaders and the SENDCo, the Assistant Headteacher will lead initiatives that strengthen inclusive practice across the school and ensure that teaching and learning meet the needs of all learners.
This role also includes responsibility for supporting the development of staff through professional development, coaching and mentoring, as well as contributing to whole-school improvement priorities.

The successful candidate will demonstrate:
Qualified Teacher Status (QTS).
Successful experience of teaching within a primary school.
Proven middle leadership experience with the ability to lead, motivate and develop colleagues.
A strong commitment to inclusive practice and supporting pupils with additional needs.
The ability to improve teaching and learning through coaching, mentoring and professional development.
High expectations for all pupils and a commitment to raising standards.
Excellent organisational, communication and interpersonal skills.
The ability to work collaboratively as part of a senior leadership team.
A commitment to ongoing professional development and school improvement.
The Assistant Headteacher will work closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team to support the strategic leadership of the school.
Key responsibilities include:
Working with the Senior Leadership Team to improve teaching and learning across the school through a range of professional development approaches including coaching, mentoring and team teaching.
Liaising and collaborating with external professionals and agencies to support inclusive practice and pupil outcomes.
Supporting the development and implementation of inclusive teaching strategies that meet the needs of all pupils.
Working alongside the SENDCo to ensure effective provision and appropriate resourcing for pupils with additional needs.
Supporting effective systems for monitoring, reviewing and evaluating teaching and learning to inform improvement planning and action plans.
Contributing to the leadership of whole-school priorities and initiatives.
The role will also include operational leadership responsibilities such as:
Managing the daily timetable and arrangements for class cover.
Managing staff absence procedures, including coordinating sickness cover and conducting return-to-work meetings.
Supporting the smooth running of the school day through leadership presence, including gate duties and behaviour support where required.
Meeting regularly with parents to support positive communication and strong home-school partnerships.
