What skills and experience we're looking for
We have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic, positive and dynamic teacher to join the senior leadership team at Katharine Lady Berkeley’s School.
We seek to appoint an Assistant Headteacher with responsibility for:
- Pastoral oversight of Key Stage 4, line manage Heads of Year 10 & 11
- Support the Curriculum and Pastoral Deputy Headteachers to provide strategic direction for PSHE and SMSC
- Designated Safeguarding Lead responsibility
The role requires a presence around the school and a strong commitment to all students making good progress and being positive members of our community. The candidate needs strong communication skills with all key stakeholders from students to staff and parents. We seek a visible and flexible leader, someone who is out and about as far as possible, despite obvious demands on their time; a colleague who will give willingly to wider whole-school events.
