Qualifications & Experience

  • Qualified Teacher Status and a good honours degree (a qualified Religious Studies or English teacher would be of particular benefit to the school)
  • Postgraduate degree (desirable)
  • Successful experience as an Assistant Headteacher or Middle Leader
  • Proven track record of raising standards in schools
  • Experience of leading and developing high-performing teams
  • Experience of leading and implementing highly effective behaviour systems
  • Experience of leading and implementing highly effective systems for improving the quality of teaching and learning
  • Knowledge of wider curriculum provision, including careers, PSHE, student leadership and trips
  • Knowledge and experience of safeguarding children, with a clear commitment to doing so
  • Evidence of promoting equal opportunities for students and/or staff
  • Evidence of further professional development and how this has improved professional practice
