What skills and experience we're looking for
Qualifications & Experience

- Qualified Teacher Status and a good honours degree (a qualified Religious Studies or English teacher would be of particular benefit to the school)
- Postgraduate degree (desirable)
- Successful experience as an Assistant Headteacher or Middle Leader
- Proven track record of raising standards in schools
- Experience of leading and developing high-performing teams
- Experience of leading and implementing highly effective behaviour systems
- Experience of leading and implementing highly effective systems for improving the quality of teaching and learning
- Knowledge of wider curriculum provision, including careers, PSHE, student leadership and trips
- Knowledge and experience of safeguarding children, with a clear commitment to doing so
- Evidence of promoting equal opportunities for students and/or staff
- Evidence of further professional development and how this has improved professional practice
