We are seeking a confident, inspiring and ambitious leader to be our next Assistant Headteacher at Loddon Primary Federation (based at the junior school). Together we can create a bright future and make a lasting impact on our pupils.
Our pupils and staff deserve the best and we hope that if you are someone, who is aspirational and inspirational for pupils and staff, you will consider coming to work as part of our team.
This role would suit either an experienced Assistant Headteacher looking for a change or an experienced middle leader ready to take the next step in their career.
About Us:
Loddon Primary Federation is two schools that work together to teach Loddon children from Nursery to Year 6.
Our federation is comprised of Loddon Infant & Nursery School and Loddon Junior School, which are located near to each other on Kittens Lane in Loddon. Our schools work together to provide a happy, caring and hardworking environment which our children enjoy coming to.
Through our high expectations, we ensure that children have the knowledge, understanding and skills to be confident and successful. This is summed up in our STARs ethos where every pupil is given the equal opportunity to shine like stars!
“Safe, Thoughtful, Aspirational, Respectful, Successful”
We have a hard-working, dedicated and supportive team of staff at Loddon Primary Federation who want the children to be happy, successful and ready for the next stage of their education.
Loddon Infant & Nursery School and Loddon Junior School are currently Local Authority maintained schools, both on a school improvement journey. The federation plans to academise during Autumn 2025, joining Active Learning Trust. At the heart of Active Learning Trust are five core values that shape the culture and guide every aspect of their work. They influence interactions, decisions and strategic direction, and they unite the school communities. Whilst each of the schools works as a collaborative part of the larger organisation, they are also managed locally by skilled leaders and local governing bodies. This approach ensures that each school retains its unique personality and reflects the needs of its local community, while the future sustainability of the school is guaranteed to be exceptional by being part of a strong and effective Multi-Academy Trust.
We are looking for an Assistant Headteacher who will:
- Ensure an aspirational culture and ethos of challenge and support where all pupils can achieve success and become engaged in their own learning and the learning of others.
- Support the Headteacher to lead, motivate and develop employees to continue the improvement journey.
- Drive strategies which continue to secure high standards of behaviour and attendance, student welfare, and citizenship.
- Continue the rapid improvement journey the schools are on.
Why Join Us? To:
- Belong to a welcoming and inclusive school community
- Have the chance to make a direct difference to the lives of our children
- Further develop and work with an experienced staff group, who are fully dedicated doing the best for our children
- Gain support and professional development from an established Trust, where relationships between schools and colleagues are strong
- Feel part of a wider team, and never feel isolated
Visits to see our fabulous schools in action are warmly welcomed. Please contact the school office at - finance@lpfed.org or 01508 505180 to arrange a visit. Our Interim Executive Headteacher, Heather Madsen will be pleased to show you around.
