We provide high quality education for all our young people regardless of their background or starting point. Collaboration across our Trust family of schools enables us to share expertise, knowledge and best practice to ensure academic and pastoral excellence, with all schools embracing the same overall ethos and values, whilst maintaining their own unique characters.

Manorfield is a warm and welcoming infant and nursery school, deeply rooted in our local community and situated in the heart of Batley. Our vision is all about fulfilling potential. We are committed to helping all our children fulfil their potential, as we focus on the individual child. Treating them as individuals means we adapt to their unique needs, provide solid foundations and empower them to confidently take the next steps in their educational journey. They are celebrated for their individuality, supported to make thoughtful choices, and encouraged to fulfil their potential. Manorfield has high aspirations for every child, and high expectations of every staff member to support our children to achieve the very best.

We are now seeking to appoint a highly motivated and inspiring Assistant Headteacher to support the strategic leadership of the school as we enter the next phase of our journey. This is a fantastic opportunity for a forward-thinking leader who is passionate about improving the life chances for our learners and keen to contribute to a vibrant, ambitious school community.

The successful candidate will:

  • Play a key role in shaping the school’s future and building on our current strengths.

  • Attend School Governing Board meetings and liaise effectively with Governors.

  • Hold class teaching responsibility and lead at least one key curriculum subject.

  • Take on the role of Deputy Designated Safeguarding Lead (DDSL), promoting a culture of vigilance and care across the school.

  • Work closely with the newly appointed Headteacher to plan and deliver high-quality CPD for teaching and associate staff.

  • Champion evidence-informed approaches to improve teaching and learning across the school.

  • Liaise effectively with all key stakeholders including external agencies, parents/carers and local businesses and community groups.

We are looking for someone who is experienced in having a positive impact on school improvement, learner-focused, committed to excellence, and ready to inspire those around them.

This is an exciting opportunity to join a supportive forward thinking school and Trust, who in return for your commitment and hard work, will support you to achieve your own career goals and aspirations.
