Our partnership is seeking to appoint a highly skilled AHT, in order to support the management of the school alongside the Partnership Headteacher. The post-holder will be contracted to Peter Hills.

The successful candidate will be a valued staff member who will interact with a range of stakeholders including staff, governors, parents, pupils and other advisors. They will work closely with the Leadership team to carry out their duties and responsibilities. They will need to be highly organised, work well as part of a team and haveexcellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will have:

  • Qualified Teacher Status with 4 years or more teaching experience
  • Middle/Senior Management experience
  • The skills to work with pupils with a range of different abilities and needs – SEND, LAC, Pupil Premium, EAL, Mental Health
  • The ability to work effectively with the Interim Headteacher and SLT to achieve excellence
  • The ability to support and overview the work of support staff
  • Good communication skills and an ability to work within a team
  • Good management and organisational skills and experience of leading/managing other staff.
  • The necessary communication skills enabling liaison with a variety of external agencies
  • Someone with high levels of resilience and character
  • A key role model who demonstrates high levels of professionalism at all times
  • Able to inspire staff and children to deliver the highest quality teaching and learning
  • Innovative and able to communicate a strong ethos and vision
  • Committed to understanding behaviour and working in partnership with parents, carers and agencies to help children manage themselves and maximise their potential
  • Familiar with curriculum development to support the strategic direction of the school
  • An understanding of how to use progress and attainment data to recognise areas of strength and development
