What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to appoint an AHT to complement our existing leadership structure. You will oversee the strategic development of our maths / numeracy strategy as well as other agreed areas of responsibility.

You will oversee a specific area of the GFM Schooling Strategy across the next phase of our journey. You will have demonstrable experience and a proven record for leading whole phase initiatives; you will have the ability to work with pace and rigour to impact positively on our organisation. You will be expected to network and liaise across a range of external providers, schools and within the community to ensure a consistency of approach regarding standards, support, transition and high quality learning and teaching.
You will;
Be flexible and innovative in order meet the varied demands of the post
Keep up to date on educational development, strategy and thinking
Manage a teaching commitment alongside school leadership responsibilities
Be prepared to undertake outreach work on behalf of The GFM
Show commitment to the rigorous continuous improvement of The GFM
Attend relevant meetings
Demonstrate a positive commitment to working with all stakeholders to improve the performance of The GFM
Actively pursue your own professional development
Experience with SEMH and pastoral qualifications or experience would be advantageous

LWS Academy is proud to be part of the Gosport and Fareham Multi Academy Trust (GFM). The GFM comprises 5 schools; Bay House School, Gomer Junior School, LWS Academy, Brune Park School and Rowner Junior School.
Welcome to LWS Academy. We are a small specialised academy for boys based on the beautiful south coast.
Our specialist secondary school was established in January 1996 to educate and support boys with behavioural, emotional and social difficulties, our new designation is as an Academy for students with Social, Emotional and Mental Health needs.
The Academy aims to meet the needs of secondary aged boys who have difficulty managing social interactions; and recognising and regulating their emotions in order to promote positive mental health. As an educational establishment we strive to improve outcomes academically, but at LWS we acknowledge that good mental health, social skills and emotional development is the priority for our students.
