Assistant Headteacher: SEND and Inclusion job summary

The Rose Learning Trust are looking to recruit an Assistant Headteacher, in partnership with the Headteacher and the Local Governing Body, at Lakeside Primary Academy who:

Can develop and communicate a shared vision, ethos and strategic plan for SEND, Inclusion and School Improvement that inspires and motivates all stakeholders and reflects the needs of the school, the trust and its community

Can translate the vision into clear, agreed objectives and operational plans that promote and sustain inclusion and school improvement

Will provide day to day leadership of SEND and Inclusion for the school which enables Lakeside Primary Academy and The Rose Learning Trust to give every child a high-quality education and promotes the highest possible standards of achievement and attainment

Will work towards securing the long-term educational success of the school by maximising potential through the skills and resources available from within Lakeside Primary, across the trust and beyond.

Builds leadership capacity in the school by supporting the Headteacher and Senior leaders whilst nurturing the talents of others

Can create a culture where pupils experience an inclusive, positive and enriching school life

This role will be based at Lakeside Primary Academy, and the successful candidate will take up the post from September 2026. The successful candidate will be appointed to The Rose Learning Trust.
