Assistant Headteacher (SEND & Inclusion) job summary

Northbrook Primary Academy are seeking to recruit an Assistant Headteacher - SEND & Inclusion, as we continue our journey to sustained academy improvement.

As an Assistant Headteacher, you play a leading role in delivering the School Development Plan priorities, through bringing clear strategic direction to the development of the support systems and the whole school.

The successful candidate will teach within our brand-new SEND unit and play the leading role in delivering an outstanding education and providing strong and effective leadership across the school for all those children with identified SEND and pastoral needs, ensuring every child has an opportunity to play a full and active role in our school.

As an Assistant Headteacher of this school you will:

Have strong communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to build and maintain strong relationships with stakeholders.

Have strong leadership qualities, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and empower others and lead by example.

Benefit from the strong support of the Head Teacher, our Senior Leadership and Executive Team and a close collaboration of networks across our family of schools

Become an active team member with the leadership across the Trust and contribute to the strategic development of our schools

Lead a team of amazing staff and work with our fantastic children

You will have the knowledge and understanding of the school’s vision, aims, priorities, targets and action plans and an ability to write an annual development plan and self-evaluation plan that is informed by accurate data analysis.

We are seeking an individual who has an organised and methodical approach to work, can demonstrate a passion for continual improvement and achievement, with an ability to inspire the confidence of children, parents and colleagues with enthusiasm and commitment to the role.
