Join our flagship SEND provision! We are seeking an Assistant Headteacher - SENDCo to provide leadership and management for the provision of pupils across the Academy, promoting and implementing the school’s policies in accordance with the SEND Code of Practice. The SENDCo will form part of the Senior Leadership Team as an Assistant Head and will have responsibility for providing professional guidance to support teachers in securing high standards of teaching and learning.

Key responsibilities:


  • Strategic direction and development of the provision provided for pupils, inline with EHCP’s.
  • Line management of specific staff.
  • Support clear INTENT, IMPLEMENTATION and IMPACT for the school’s curriculum.
  • Work closely with the SLT in ensuring effective use of e-learning/SEND specific technology.
  • Responsibility for ensuring preparation and implementation of individual pupil support plans, including reviewing, updating and ensuring effective use by all staff  


Pay range: L10 - L14 - £62,202 - £68,586


Qualifications and Skills:


  • Qualified Teacher Status
  • SENDCo Qualification or previous experience as a SENDCo
  • Degree in related subject specialism
  • Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with pupils and parents/carers 
  • Ability to analyse and evaluate data to identify, student needs and appropriate strategies to overcome barriers to learning
