We are looking for a Assistant Headteacher - SENDCO to provide leadership and management for the provision of pupils across the Academy, promoting and implementing the school’s policies in accordance with the SEND Code of Practice. The SENDCo will form part of the Senior Leadership Team as an Assistant Head and will have responsibility for providing professional guidance to support teachers in securing high standards of teaching and learning.
Key responsibilities:
- Strategic direction and development of the provision provided for pupils, in line with EHCP’s.
- Line management of specific staff.
- Oversight of the therapeutic provision provided across the school
- Effective communication with parents and other stakeholders
- Efficient and effective deployment of staff and resources
Pay range: L10 - L14 - £64,691.00 - £71,330.00
Qualifications and Skills:
- Qualified teacher status or recognised equivalent
- Degree in related subject specialism
- SENDCo Qualification or previous experience as a SENDCo
- Ability to build and maintain effective working relationships with pupils and parents/carers
- Ability to communicate effectively with a wide range of stakeholders using a variety of media
