  • An exceptional leader, with experience of securing outstanding outcomes for students;
  • Passionate about ensuring outstanding provision and equal opportunities for students with SEND;
  • An outstanding classroom practitioner, and role model for all stakeholders;

King’s School is a Church of England School in the Diocese of Chichester, for students in Years 7 to 13. Our work and relationships are based upon the four core Christian values of Love, Forgiveness, Respect and Responsibility and through these we encourage and support every student and member of staff to be the best that they can be.

The school opened its doors to its first cohort of students in September 2013 and moved to its permanent site, a purpose-built facility for all areas of the curriculum, in September 2019.

There are currently just over 900 students in years 7, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12 and 13 and a team of over 90 teachers and support staff.

The school received its third Ofsted inspection in March 2022 (Section 5 inspection) and retained its rating of good overall with outstanding features. The inspector noted that pupils “are proud to be part of the school community” and that “the school’s provision for their education and welfare makes a significant contribution to their lives”.

Our most recent staff survey (2023) found that staff feel supported and valued. In particular staff fed back positively on:

  • Student motivation and behaviour.
  • Organisation of the school and internal communications.
  • The rewarding interactions they have with students every day in the classrooms and around the site.
