The Governors and Headteacher of The Bishop of Hereford’s Bluecoat School are seeking to appoint an innovative and inspirational teacher and leader to join our Senior Leadership Team and help shape the next stage of our school's development. This is an exciting opportunity for a talented leader who is passionate about high quality teaching, inclusive practice and

outstanding outcomes for every student. This post is an addition to the existing leadership team at the school.

Working closely with the Headteacher and Senior Leadership Team, you will play a key role in driving improvement, developing staff and ensuring that every student thrives both academically and personally.

Experience of working and leading a successful core, humanities or languages (EBacc) subject area / team is strongly desired but not essential.

The successful applicant will join an experienced Leadership Team and will

  • have the leadership experience, vision and enthusiasm to contribute to our school improvement initiatives
  • have the understanding and commitment to represent our school vision and ethos
  • have a proven track record of long-term positive impact on the leadership of teaching, learning and staff development
  • have a passion for working with young people to develop their own excellence and be committed to raising students’ aspirations

  • work in partnership with staff, learners and their parents/carers offering support and challenge
