What skills and experience we're looking for
The successful applicant will:
- Demonstrate leadership and management ability
- Be an exemplary and creative classroom practitioner who can make learning and teaching effective and fun
- Have the vision, drive and energy to build on our achievements
- Possess the ability to communicate a strong vision of success to pupils, parents and the wider community
Responsibilities include:
- Phase leader of 2-3 year groups
- Class teacher (part time)
- Raising standards of attainment and progress of pupils in the phase and across the school, including oversight of assessment for the phase alongside the school’s Assessment Lead
- Supporting and advising teachers and support staff in the phase in the delivery of a broad, balanced and differentiated curriculum to pupils
- Establishing and maintaining effective liaison with staff and parents across the phase
Responsibilities could include:
- Leading an area of teaching and learning across the school as outlined in the School Improvement Plan for the year
- Leading a whole school project as outlined in the School Improvement Plan for the year
