What skills and experience we're looking for

  • Experience of leading a team within a school environment
  • Be fully up to date with pedagogy and research in delivering high quality experiences to SEMH young people
  • Experience of reporting on data and identifying patterns as well as recommending solutions to enhance the area of responsibility
  • Experience of developing options and alternatives that will support young people to engage in the learning process
  • Experience of planning and delivering a range of curriculum areas
  • Experience of current assessment practice and the use of data and pupil progress tracking to ensure that all learners achieve
  • A genuine appreciation of the potential barriers to a pupil’s learning, and sensitivity towards their circumstances and life experiences
  • High expectations of young people, and a commitment to raising standards of attainment to ensure that they can achieve their full educational potential
