What skills and experience we're looking for
We are seeking to appoint an exceptional and visionary Assistant Headteacher who will lead Key Stage Two and contribute to the strategic direction of the school. The successful applicant will have a passion for teaching and learning and the ambition to develop inspirational teaching and learning for all pupils. As behaviour lead, you will have strategic oversight of policies and procedures relating to ensuring good behaviour for learning.
The role of Assistant Headteacher is broad and we require a committed and hardworking team player with great inter-personal skills, energy and creativity. The position provides the opportunity for contribution to the leadership and management of the whole school.

Responsibilities:
- Provide strategic leadership and direction to the Key Stage 2 team – comprising of 8 classes across 4 year groups.
- Develop and implement a clear vision and curriculum framework that aligns with the school's overall aims
- Foster a culture of excellence in teaching and learning, promoting innovative and effective pedagogical practices that inspire and engage young learners.
- Lead and support a team of dedicated teachers and learning support assistants, providing guidance mentoring, and professional development opportunities.
- Ensure a nurturing and inclusive environment that supports the well-being, social-emotional development, and academic progress of all children.

Winslow Church of England School is a two form entry primary school with a Preschool. We cater for children from 3 to 11 years. Our school is located within the market town of Winslow. It is situated within a beautiful site with open, green spaces, two large playgrounds, a new all weather outdoor play area for our Preschool as well as outdoor learning in our musical woodland and wildlife area.
