Having recently celebrated its 70th Birthday, Bassingbourn Village College is proud of its rich academic tradition and is seeking an energetic, passionate and inspiring leader to join us on our mission to be one of the very best schools in Cambridgeshire. Working alongside the wider senior leadership team, this role will be vital in ensuring we have a high quality learning environment for all students that attend the College. You will have knowledge and experience of leading change and shaping high performing individuals/teams in different contexts. You will be an experienced and talented classroom practitioner able to build positive relationships with students and their families.

This role would be an exciting opportunity for someone that is passionate about making school improvements to benefit all students and isn’t afraid to think creatively to achieve a goal.

A key part of this position will be leading and managing cultural change. You will be prepared to challenge how things have been done before in pursuit of excellence. Innovation and flexibility will be essential, as will coaching and empowering staff to be at the centre of improvement. You will have a leadership remit across different aspects of the College improvement plan and will need to work with other leaders to ensure a coherent strategy is developed where all students feel they belong. Leading, working within and alongside teams will be required to deliver success.
