Rawlins Academy is seeking an exceptional Assistant Principal for Behaviour and Culture to help drive our ethos of acting wisely and enabling every student to make the most of every opportunity. You will play a pivotal role in strengthening our culture of care, respect and high expectations, building on the school’s well established reputation for courtesy, positive relationships and strong pastoral support. Rawlins is a forward looking Church of England Academy committed to educating the whole person, where behaviour is underpinned by clear values, robust safeguarding and a community focused approach that ensures all students can flourish. You will lead strategic initiatives that promote consistency, belonging and aspiration, supporting students to develop resilience and character in line with our vision of trust, hope, success and shaping the future. This role offers the opportunity to make a significant impact in a school where pupils are happy, considerate and guided by a shared commitment to “act wisely” throughout their journey.
This is an excellent opportunity to join one of Leicestershire’s largest secondary schools, with over 1500 on roll including more than 300 in our A-Level specific Sixth Form. We are a highly inclusive school having our own Autism and a Moderate Learning Difficulties specialist unit on site alongside our school’s SEND support base. Pupils who attend these units are an integrated part of our school community.
There is a strong sense of community in the school, the village of Quorn and the surrounding areas with a committed and aspirational parent support base. Teamwork and making the most of every opportunity is a key feature of school life. We aim to inspire our pupils to find their talents and their passions through a broad and balanced curriculum; to be curious about learning; to relish a challenge and to have both confidence and resilience. Applications are therefore welcomed from well-qualified and highly motivated individuals who are keen to work with remarkable young people providing an exceptional education for all.
