Assistant Principal for Student Engagement job summary

Ormiston Victory Academy is an outstanding academy committed to achieving the very best outcomes for our students. We seek to appoint an excellent leader to form a key part of our Senior Leadership Team.

We are looking for an exceptional candidate to take a leading role in our academy as Assistant Principal with responsibility for leading on Student Engagement.

You will have a proven track record of successful leadership with specific expertise in ensuring high standard of behaviour and positive engagement with all stakeholders – staff, students, parents, carers, community members and other organisations. It matters to us that you are motivated by a desire to change lives for the better – and you are prepared to go above and beyond expectations to achieve this.

You will be able to use data to implement intervention strategies to raise student engagement in learning and you will understand the value of a culture of kindness, mutual respect and social action. In addition to this, you will have a firm grasp of what it means to be a senior leader and you will possess the ability to inspire people successfully. You will be visionary, hard-working and driven by a desire to secure the best possible life chances for young people, regardless of any barriers they may face.

You will be able to lead with integrity, good humour and moral purpose – someone who is committed to creating an academy which delivers outstanding outcomes for every child, adult and community member.
We are committed to ensuring student progress and high quality teaching and learning provision for all. Our aim is for every student to achieve above expected progress in all subjects; your role will be critical to achieving this outcome as we believe a happy, safe child will learn best.
