What skills and experience we're looking for
We are looking to recruit an Assistant Principal Inclusion.
The successful candidate will be committed to setting high expectations and standards for all with an unrelenting ambition for the school, the staff and pupils. They will be able to lead, manage and inspire pupils and staff, managing long-term objectives whilst dealing effectively with fast moving day-to-day priorities. The successful candidate will possess drive, vision, enthusiasm working effectively to support pupils with special needs and disadvantaged pupils. They will work with our most vulnerable pupils and those with the greatest needs.
You will act as SENCO and be responsible for the day to day operation of the SEN Policy and co-ordination of specific provision to support students and Provide Strategic leadership for Inclusion across the College.
This is a key role within the School as you will be part of the Senior Leadership Team.
This post includes liaising with a range of external agencies to support the students in our care, and ensuring that all statutory protocols around SEND assessment and funding are followed. This multi-faceted role encompasses oversight, and leadership, of quality first education, outcomes, personal development, enrichment and progress for students with SEN and/or disabilities.
The post will require you to ensure the continuous improvement of the school.

Castle Donington College recently extended its age range and began teaching KS4 courses from September 2017 for first examinations in 2019. We currently have 564 students on roll in Years 7 to 11. The College is situated on the North West edge of Leicestershire on the Leicestershire, Derbyshire, and Nottinghamshire border. It has excellent links to these cities, being close to the M1 and A50.
