Are you an inspiring and dedicated leader with a passion for inclusion? We are seeking an Assistant Principal to join our one-form entry Catholic primary school in Coventry. This is a key leadership role with whole school responsibility, with a specific focus on SEND and Inclusion.

About the Role

As Assistant Principal, you will play a vital role in shaping and delivering the school's strategic vision, ensuring that every child, regardless of their needs, has access to high-quality education. You will also take on the responsibilities of SENCO, leading the development of outstanding provision for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities.

This vacancy would be consider for full time or part time candidates.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead and develop the school's SEND and Inclusion strategy, ensuring all pupils thrive.
  • Fulfil the statutory duties of the SENCO, including overseeing EHCPs and working closely with external agencies.
  • Support the Principal and Senior Leadership Team in driving whole-school improvement.
  • Champion an inclusive and nurturing environment where every child feels valued.
  • Provide professional leadership, guidance, and training for staff in SEND and inclusive practices.

The Ideal Candidate Will:

  • Be a committed and practising Catholic, or be willing to support and uphold the Catholic ethos of the school.
  • Hold the National Award for SEN Coordination (NASENCO) or be willing to work towards it.
  • Have a proven track record of leading inclusion and SEND provision within a primary school setting.
  • Be an excellent classroom practitioner with the ability to inspire and support colleagues.
  • Have experience in developing and implementing whole-school initiatives.
  • Be a compassionate and approachable leader, committed to fostering strong relationships with pupils, families, and staff.
