Assistant Principal (SENDCO) job summary
The Role
The Hill Primary has an exciting opportunity for an Assistant Principal with SENDCO responsibility to join their team!
The successful candidate will act as the strategic lead for SEND, responsible for driving innovation and best practice. This will be achieved through ensuring that all statutory requirements are met for pupils with SEND and through the continued development of SEND policy and practice across the academy. The SENDCo will be an essential member of The Hill team, ensuring that inclusion and diversity is promoted and celebrated at every level.
You will need to demonstrate:
A passion and commitment to Inclusion;
A good knowledge of how to support pupils with SEND and staff across the school;
Evidence of a range of teaching and learning strategies that you have implemented to support pupils with SEND;
Experience of teaching, learning and assessment at KS1/KS2;
Excellent interpersonal skills to motivate and inspire pupils to reach their potential;
Have or be willing to work towards the SEND qualification
