Assistant SENCo job summary

We are looking to appoint a SENCO Assistant to join our SEND team. As SENCO Assistant you will work with and support the SENCO team in their role as they strive to ensure that everything is in place for the students identified as SEND.

Job Overview

To support the SENCO in leading and managing the provision for students with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) across the Academy. To provide a structured administrative base for all SEND matters, to coordinate interventions and support with operational management of the department.

Job requirements


  • GCSE Maths and English of Grade C/4 or above
  • Evidence of relevant CPD or qualifications in SEND
  • Experience working within an educational setting, supporting students with SEND
  • Excellent working knowledge of the SEND Code of Practice (2014) and the statutory requirements for EHCP's
  • Excellent communication skills
