Assistant SENCo job summary

The Howard School is seeking to appoint a highly effective Assistant SENCo, to start from September 2025.

This successful candidate will maintain accurate SEN records, providing direct student support, coordinating with external agencies, and managing intervention timetables. This will also include overseeing teaching assistant schedules, support reading assessments and other monitoring, coordinate referrals, and manage departmental resources.

This is a full time, permanent role, Term Time +3 weeks, paid based on the NJC pay scale PO1 point 27-37 (actual salary calculated on a pro rata basis £33,937 - £42,822 - FTE £37,035 - £46,731).
