Assistant SENDCo job summary

The role:
We are looking for a candidate who can support with the strategic direction and development of SEND policy and provision in our setting. The person will ensure that Bloxwich Academy is an inclusive environment where pupils with SEND or a disability can thrive and achieve expected outcomes. The Assistant SENDCO will work with the SENDCO to lead a wider team with enthusiasm and commitment and will support staff to deliver high quality and adaptive teaching in line with the SEND code of practice. In return, you will benefit from working within a forward thinking, creative and dynamic strategic leadership team providing you with whole school experience and opportunities to develop your career.

Your key skills will include:

  • An excellent practitioner in your subject area.

  • Track record of excellent events.

  • An effective communicator with parents, staff and pupils.
