Assistant SENDCO (Non-teaching) job summary

Assistant SENDCO (Non-Teaching) at Alcester Grammar School

Hours: 35 hours per week: Monday to Friday 8:30 am to 4:00 pm with 30 minutes unpaid lunch break each day

190 days per academic year - Alcester Grammar School term dates plus some INSET days

Salary: AGS Pay Scale Band E.15 - E.17 Actual Pro-Rat Salary: £23,802 - £24,593 p.a. paid in 12 equal instalments

(Salary calculation based on full-time E.17 £30,024 p.a. x 35/37 hrs x 43.7 / 52.143 paid weeks = £23,802 pa.)

About this role

The SEND team you will be joining is led by our Associate Assistant Principal SENDCO, and supported by a Learning Support Coordinator and a team of Learning Support Assistants.

Responsibilities include leading The Bridge, working in partnership with students, parents and external agencies to implement timely and effective support for students and tracking student progress. The role of the Assistant SENDCO is crucial, in collaboration with the SENDCO, to leading and implementing the provision of SEND across the school.

You should be committed, show initiative and have excellent communication skills. Previous experience of supporting students with SEND in a school setting is essential.

This is a rare opportunity to join a dedicated and enthusiastic team where you will have the opportunity to shape high provision for our SEND students.
