Ridgeway Academy School is proud to be part of The Ambition Education Trust (AET) which consists of ten schools in Hertfordshire; three primary, one nursery and infants’, one juniors and five secondary. Our Trust launched in September 2024 following the amalgamation of two established Multi Academy Trusts (MATs), Alban Academies Trust and Atlas Multi Academy Trust. The SEND Department consists of a group of specialists who are continually striving for excellence. At the heart of the department is a strong belief in the potential for all students and we encourage students of all abilities to foster a love for learning.
We are a thriving and dedicated team of experts led by an experienced SENDCO who supports students both within and outside of the classroom to enable them to reach their full potential. The Haven is the learning and nurturing centre of the SEND Department and provides a flexible learning environment. We work collaboratively across the AET to ensure we are sharing great practice and are constantly developing as professionals.
The SEND department is proud of its constantly evolving approaches to young people at Ridgeway and ensuring all students receive the best and most appropriate educational experience for them.

Will strive to constantly raise the attainment of SEND students and meet the specific needs of each individual
The best interests of the students at the heart of all they do
A solution focused individual who will support and guide families effectively
