Assistant Subject Lead for History (with responsibility for KS3) job summary

We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Assistant Subject Lead for History to join our dynamic team. Ability to teach Geography to KS3 would be advantageous. In this role, you will play a key part in developing and delivering an engaging and challenging History curriculum, supporting the Subject Lead in driving departmental improvement, and inspiring students to achieve their full potential.

The successful applicant will:

  • have an excellent knowledge and academic background in History (knowledge of Geography also an advantage)

  • be a proven outstanding practitioner, qualified to teach History to the highest standard

  • show innovation and determination to ensure all our students receive a first class education

  • make significant contributions to both the department and whole school vision

  • have strong leadership and communication skills
