Assistant Year Manager

We are looking for an experienced individual who can offer high quality support to our Achievement and Access Team. As an Assistant Year Manager, you will confidently support the Year Managers to enable a culture of personal excellence across all student year groups.

We wish to appoint an innovative and enthusiastic individual who has the passion and ability to support student behaviour and achievement. You must have the ability to deputise in the event of a Year Manager absence and deal confidently with staff, students, parents and outside agencies. A calm disposition, excellent interpersonal and organisational skills are essential for the role. You must have English and Maths G.C.S.E. (Grade 4 or above or equivalent).

Our Assistant Year Managers are valued members of the Achievement and Access Team. This is an ideal opportunity for you to work with students and help them achieve their potential.

The post requires an individual with excellent interpersonal skills, a flexible approach to work and an ability to adapt to change.

Working as part of a pastoral team, you will be required to:

  • raise aspirations and enable students to achieve their full potential;
  • work closely with students and their parents/carers;
  • co-ordinate the work of a team of Personal Learning Guides;
  • lead assemblies;
  • positively reinforce good behaviour and ensure students have a voice in all aspects of school life.

This position will be based at The Radclyffe School but may from time to time require travel as necessary to collaborate with other schools which are all locally based.
