What skills and experience we're looking for

We are seeking an Associate Assistant Principal with a SENDCo specialism to join a well-led and motivated team committed to continuous improvement.

In this key role, you will:

  • Lead the strategic direction and development of our SEND provision
  • Support staff in understanding the needs of pupils and achieving priorities and targets
  • Monitor progress and effectiveness of teaching and learning
  • Liaise with staff, parents, external agencies co-ordinate their contribution and ensure continuity of provision

To be successful, you will:

  • Set high expectations which motivate and challenge students in a productive learning environment
  • Promote good outcomes by students, planning well-structured lessons
  • Demonstrate good subject and curriculum knowledge
  • Adapt teaching to respond to the strengths and needs of all students
  • Make accurate and productive use of assessment
  • Fulfil wider professional responsibilities with high standards of personal and professional conduct
